Everyone wants their wedding to be memorable in their guests’ minds, and a great way to do that is by being creative. Here at Southern Bride Magazine, we have found that it is currently a huge trend to have a fun and creative “Late Night Snack Bar” towards the end of the reception. A “Late Night Snack Bar” or a “Sober Up Snack” is a perfect way for the party to start to wind down and for all of the guests to start saying their goodbyes and head home for the night. Unlike the dinner offered earlier in the evening, a snack bar can be almost anything you want and there is absolutely no need for it to be fancy. We have found that many couples do something delicious, unhealthy, and FUN for their end of the night snack. This is a great time to add a little “taste” of your town by having food that can only be found in your location (out of towners will LOVE it). A few of my favorite Late Night Snack ideas include a breakfast buffet with an omelet bar and waffles with delicious topping options, mouth watering Donuts from the famous local donut shop or Donut Holes from Dunkin’ Donuts, and of course, the crowd favorite, MINIs. Everyone loves mini snacks: Hamburger sliders, mini grilled cheese with a shot glass of tomato soup, little hot dogs, tiny hot chocolates, mini cups of French fries, and my personal favorite is a gooey chocolate chip cookie with a shot glass of milk. Couples can use this time to add their favorite guilty pleasure snacks to their special day and make it a night to remember…and crave!
