Southern Bride at the Bridal Rhapsody Bridal Show
Sunday we were at the Bridal Rhapsody Summer Bridal show at the Agricenter in Memphis. We sponsored the show along with Mahaffey Tent & Party Rentals, Marriage 101, Celebrity China & Crystal, and Travel Leaders. We saw many brides throughout the day and handed out our fabulous polka dot Southern Bride bags, which included a copy of our Summer MidSouth issue,
We would like to thank Mahaffey Tent & Party Rentals for setting us up with our fabulous booth, pink linens, and chairs with pink sashes! We loved it!
Visit the Southern Bride Facebook Page to find out about more upcoming shows hosted by Southern Bride Magazine!

The King and Queen
Becoming Royalty at Elvis’s Graceland. Stunning Bridal & Tuxedo Fashion
GRACELAND: The Elvis Legend
Elvis Aaron Presley, in the humblest of circumstances, was born to Vernon and Gladys Presley in a two-room house in Tupelo, MS on January 8, 1935. His twin brother, Jessie Garon, was stillborn, leaving Elvis to grow up as an only child. He and his parents moved to Memphis, TN in 1948, and Elvis graduated from Humes High School there in 1953.
He starred in 33 successful films, made history with his television appearances and specials, and knew great acclaim through his many, often record-breaking, live concert performances on tour and in Las Vegas. Globally, he has sold over one billion records, more than any other artist. Without any of the special privileges his celebrity status might have afforded him, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.
His talent, good looks, sensuality, charisma, and good humor endeared him to millions, as did the humility and human kindness he demonstrated throughout his life. Known the world over by his first name, he is regarded as one of the most important figures of the twentieth century popular culture. Elvis died at his Memphis home, Graceland, on August 16, 1977. Graceland opened to the public in 1982 and has hosted millions of visitors from every state in the union and nearly every country of the world.
GRACELAND: Chapel in theWoods
Nestled in the woods adjacent to Elvis Presley’s beloved home, Graceland, this quaint Chapel is the perfect setting for a wedding to remember. Whether it’s an intimate event with just the bride and groom, or up to 50 family and friends, the Graceland Wedding Chapel in the Woods offers all the amenities and services you’d expect from much larger venues.
GRACELAND: Getting Ready
The Elvis wedding chapel offers a private dressing room complete with all the accommodations you’ll need to prepare for the ceremony. The dressing room is just a short walk to the Chapel’s main entrance, a beautiful walkway shaded by stately trees and lush landscaping.
GRACELAND: The Car Museum
This is the perfect location for a cocktail mixer, but has also been home to seated dinners and “dances in the street.” Your guests can “stroll the streets of Memphis” to view this Fabulous collection of Elvis’ cars and motorized “toys” or pause to watch “The King” on the full-size movie screen located in the Drive-In area. The Drive-In is also a wonderful location to screen any videos, DVDs or PowerPoint presentations you may have planned as a part of your event. Capacity is 150 seated guests and 250 cocktail/reception style.
