I love my job as a wedding planner and coordinator but I was craving something other than bridal shows, open houses and styled shoots. I wanted to do an event that was upbeat, unique and could highlight my abilities to plan and coordinate an event. After some thought, I came up with The Bride Bus! I rented a party bus from PAQS Party Bus and filled it with brides and their female plus ones. The brides were showered with personalized gifts, champagne and mimosas! They received free makeup sessions from Beauty by Anna Hope, hair styling from Leah Daniel, swag bags, bouquets, FOOD, FOOD, more FOOD and delicious cake by Pine Cone Bakery that even the anti-cake bride couldn’t resist!
Venues, florists and rentals, OH MY! Within eight hours and two different cities The Bride Bus passengers were able to see EIGHTEEN of my favorite vendors!
We started at Lion Hills Vineyard where the passengers toured a gorgeous, industrial style venue with a swoon worthy bridal suite.
The first stop was The Shed at Westover Farms, a modern rustic venue with a beautiful backdrop of two silos that would impress any Joanna Gaines fan! The guests saw the venue at its finest with gorgeous floral designs from Mountain Oak Florist.
Stop two! One of my favorite rental companies with unique finds to die for! The Vintage Rental Company and Clementines GA florist provided the brides with an educational tour, gift bags and personal bouquets.
We then took a tour of Downtown Gowns where brides did a Q&A with the owner of the bridal shop and were given the 4-1-1 on all things floral from the owner of 1989 Designs with The Flower Cart, Carrollton.
Hop back on the bus…more champagne please!
We rode over to The Inn at Oak Lawn Farms which offers a beautiful antebellum home, great for grand, backyard style weddings any Hallmark movie would envy!
Each stop was catered by Your Great Events Catering with artistic food that “catered” to each venue’s style!
Guest appearances stopped by to discuss finer wedding details like honeymoon planning with Fabulous Indeed Vacations, live wedding paintings by Crystal Pollard Designs and Motions Entertainment DJ. There were a few other surprises including wedding cookies for each bride given to us by Cookie Secrets by Jessica, T-Shirts from Tippy Toads Boutique, and more!
I’m so grateful for my incredible friend and photographer, Brittany Rivera, who rode The Bride Bus and took so many photos to document this event.
Katherine Baskin Weddings & Events will be hosting the second annual Bride Bus in Georgia in January 2020 and it will be even bigger and better than before!
