Did you hear the big news? The Scarlet Wedding Tour is now Revolution Wedding Tours but it’s still the original Wedding Show On The Go(tm)! Read all about it here

This is the very last stop on our virtual Revolution Wedding Tour. Don’t be too terribly sad. You could always attend a tour in person! Check out the calendar for up coming events & tours.

“Oh, how I adore the design concept at Wingate Plantation! Charleston and the surrounding area has a rich military history and with so many of our servicemen and women making their homes here we wanted to show them some love with this Americana/Military inspired venue. We chose a rich navy blue, deep crimson red and a crisp linen white as our color palette and started pulling in unique, but very Southern details to keep it light, fresh and fun! The almost 200 acre plantation boasts ancient oak trees dripping with Spanish moss framing a gorgeous little lake perfect for us to stage our ceremony. By using their restored church pews and lining the aisle with wooden signs with verses from Corinthians hand painted on each, it was stunning and simple. In lieu of a typical Cocktail Hour set up, we staged picnic blankets & baskets around lawn games in front of the Cast Iron Food Truck, the most incredible food truck in Charleston! For the tables capes we paired custom made seersucker napkins with vintage blue china on a crisp white farm table as our Estate Table with soft white petal linens on the other tables.

Our favors were not the sort of favors you’d send your guests home with. Our favors were small bags filled with coffee beans sponsored by Starbucks to be shipped to a deployed squadron currently serving our country overseas and our way of telling our men and women in uniform “Thanks a Latte!” Guests on the Tour were invited to fill out postcards thanking the soldiers for their service that we lovingly tucked into the care packages with the coffee. We wanted to inspire engaged couples to think outside the usual favors when planning their own weddings. Pick a cause, a foundation or a deployed troop or squadron to sponsor with a donation or a care package! Trust me, your guests will love that just as much as a new bottle opener or koozie!” – Sara Skinner for Scarlet Plan & Design
