I’m at the age where all of my friends are getting engaged (when did the 90’s babies grow up?), and I often hear them asking “What are we supposed to do with engagement photos?” or “Why should I even take engagement pictures?” First of all, you most certainly SHOULD have an engagement photoshoot! Not only is it an important moment in you and your fiancé’s lives together, but it is a chance to get comfortable around a camera before your big day. So you’ve done your shoot and have plenty of beautiful shots, now what? There’s the obvious, you could frame them and hang them around your new home. You could also incorporate them into your wedding by having them printed on the back of the program, in your wedding slideshow, or framed on the tables at your reception. There is even this brilliant little website called Zazzle that lets you print your pictures on virtually everything, so they can be printed on the inside of your save-the-date envelope (not to mention on the save-the-date itself!), and even on your own customized postage! Some other ideas are to print them on place cards, turn them into a guest book, or to simply put them into an album to show future generations! There’s an infinite number of things you can do with engagement photographs, and their sentimental value makes them irreplaceable.
