Newlywed Looks: Rachel Smith & William Nollman Wed in NYC with a Party at The Plaza

Rachel Elizabeth Smith and William Edward Nollmann tied the knot on October 27, 2018 at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Midtown Manhattan where 200 friends and family gathered to share in the celebration of their love.

Rachel wore an Oscar de la Renta gown with Manolo Blahnik blue suede shoes to honor Elvis Presley and their mutual love of her hometown, Memphis, Tennessee. The reception was held at The Plaza Hotel, which was decorated with shades of ivory, blush and champagne to create a classic, elegant and magical environment, planned, designed and produced by the incredible team at Tracy Taylor Ward Design.

The wedding was filled with many sentimental and personal touches; Lindsey Cross Lee of Mrs. Post Stationery created save-the-dates with a commissioned painting that displayed both the church and The Plaza Hotel. Metal signs were placed at the bar replicating the NRW Subway Line (which also happens to be the couple’s initials!) detailing the his and hers drinks with napkins to match.

Tables were named after the couple’s favorite destination vacation locales. Additionally, a southern food station was included as part of the cocktail hour to pay homage to the bride’s roots! After a night of music and non-stop dancing, the bride and groom were sent off with sparklers, and guests departed with champagne gummy bears from Sugarfina. The newlyweds honeymooned in Bali and Australia.
