How did he propose?
He proposed on our one year anniversary in a botanical garden with views of a beautiful pond and tropical floral display. He layed out a picnic with candles and flower petals to set the mood, and it was the perfect spot to pop the question.
What did your big day look like?
Covid got in the way of so many weddings, but for us, it was kind of a saving grace. In Ukranian culture you have to invite every family member no matter how distant they are, even if you have never met them. Our guest list quickly got up to 350 people, but we really wanted a small wedding. We ended up having around 200 guests at our ceremony, but we did an intimate reception with only immediate family and the bridal party, around 50 people, which counts as a small wedding!
How did you celebrate your first anniversary?
We decided to do an elopement styled shoot. It was so fun to get dressed up in white again and sort of relive our wedding day minus the stress!

Roza and Robert Strilkivsky celebrated one year of marriage with an elopement styled shoot in St. Augustine, Florida. Honey Picnic Co crafted an awe inspiring picnic set up while Honey Board Co supplied an exquisite charcuterie board for the couple to munch on against the backdrop of a stunning sunset before feeding each other bites of Sweets by Staci’s textured buttercream cake complete with pearls and gold flakes.

The neutral, ornamental grasses and white florals, beautifully arranged by Roza herself, complemented the romantic yet boho aesthetic that the Kokomo Creative terracotta and palm leaf invitation suite exuded.

Mane Event Artistry swept Roza’s long locks into a Rapunzel-esque side braid accessorized with baby’s breath and kept her makeup neutral with a matte brown smokey eye and nude lips. To complete the look, Roza wore a breezy chiffon Show Me Your Mumu wrap dress with a flirty slit.

Bringing out their playful side, the couple ended their one year anniversary shoot by frolicking in the water, otherwise known as trashing the dress.
