If you and your groom are sports enthusiasts, Big Cypress Lodge, is the first hotel and event space inside one of the largest Bass Pro Shop locations. Situated in the heart of downtown Memphis, Tennessee inside the newly renovated Pyramid, the Big Cypress Lodge has something for the avid outdoorsman or woman as well as tons of fun and activities for the entire family.
Big Day Details
When planning for your big day, Big Cypress Lodge has it all. The Flyway, indoor ballroom space, will accommodate up to 210 guests and the Mississippi Terrace, an expansive outdoor venue for up to 500 will treat your guests to a magnificent view.
For those out of town guests, there are 105 guest cabins and suites in the Lodge, a perfect rustic, but elegant wilderness experience. When choosing a cabin you will find the option of interior view rooms with your private screened in porch and an exceptional view of the expansive Bass Pro retail space or exterior rooms with views of downtown Memphis. There are a variety of suites, the largest being the 2-bedroom Governor’s suite with almost 2000 square feet, a full kitchen, a boardroom/dining area to accommodate 10-12 people and 3 bathrooms. All rooms have the cozy feel of a luxurious lodge with open beamed vaulted ceilings and electric fireplaces. Make sure to inquire about the Treehouse Jr. suite, Fly-fishing lodge & Duck cabin, all themed with the adventurer in mind.
For you and the girls, the Spa at Big Cypress Lodge offers a variety of treatments to rejuvenate the body and mind, from massages and body treatments to facials, nail and waxing services and add-ons including lip and eye treatments and make-up application. Treatments are available at the spa or in-room.

Here’s the Scoop
This Bass Pro shop is one of the largest retail spaces in the world, comprised of 535,000 square feet of a sportsman’s paradise, complete with nearly 600,000 gallons of water features including a cypress swamp with live trees, an 84,000 gallon alligator habitat and multiple aquariums featuring more than 1800 varieties of fish. But the fun doesn’t stop there; check out the 13-lane bowling alley and Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill, a perfect spot for the kid in all of us. For more fun partake in alligator feedings, archery, a shooting range and do not miss the 28-story freestanding elevator which takes you to the top where you will find that Bird’s Eye, 360 degree view of the Mississippi River and the Memphis Skyline, which is available from multiple glass observation decks. Don’t forget to make reservations for dinner at The Lookout, a fine dining restaurant surrounding a 10,000 catfish aquarium with live music on the weekends.
