The Proposal

Miles proposed to Allie on Christmas Eve. He cooked her favorite dinner and had a table set up by the fire and Christmas tree. They opened gifts and he gave Allie a few small things and said “okay, now here’s the big thing!”. It was a beautiful cowhide rug. After that, he said he had one more small thing and it was every letter Allie had EVER written to him (since high school) and then also a journal Miles had written to Allie. Then he got down on one knee and the rest is history!

In Preparation

Allie and Miles were high school sweethearts and come from big Savannah families. Miles was also on the UGA football team, and comes from a family of 8 children, so he is one with many friends! Because of their large networks, their invite list was 560 people! They ended up having around 350 people attend, so leading up to their wedding day, there was much to prepare. Tara Skinner events did an excellent job of organizing all of the local Savannah vendors and transforming the glass open room at the Club at Savannah Harbor, into an elegant and bright space filled with roses and greenery by Harvey Designs. The space was magical and luminous!

The Big Day

It was a gorgeous day for Allie and Miles at The Club at Savannah Harbor. Allie and her bridesmaids got their makeup and hair done by Hustle & Blow at their suite in the Westin. Miles and his groomsmen, 4 of them being UGA football players, all hung out and got ready on Tybee Island at a friend’s beach house. Both the bride and groom had 14 each in their bridal party. The wedding and reception were both held in the glass room at the Club at Savannah Harbor, with a cocktail hour on the croquet lawn in between.

The Retreat

They honeymooned at Cheeca Lodge and Spa, in Islamorada, Florida. It Turquoise water and beautiful palms, Allie and Miles relaxed on the beach and enjoyed the calm and peaceful surroundings before heading back to move into their new home in Nashville.
