Sara Gemeny & Charlie Wilkinson
A Picture Perfect Christmas Wedding

The First Encounter
Sara and Charlie have known one another since high school, although they were just friends. They had a ceramics class together, and although Sara had a crush on Charlie, he never seemed interested. Nearly four years after high school, while home from college on winter break, they reconnected over beers while out with high school friends.
Sara was an art major and works as a graphic designer, so she wanted to do much of the planning and décor herself. From designing and screen-printing the invitations to sourcing and creating the centerpieces, much of the wedding was done by Sara and her friends and family. The flowers were delivered the night before and arranged the morning of the wedding by the bride and bridesmaids, the photo booth was constructed by Sara’s dad, and Sara’s brother helped arrange the up lighting. The desserts were purchased from a grocery store nearby and arranged and styled by Sara and friends.
The Big Day
Even though the day was busy with preparations, it went perfectly and was filled with love, music, dancing, and laughter. The highlight was the sparkler send-off at the end of the night, which lead guests to an after party on the hotel property where guests and the bride and groom chatted into the evening and stuffed their faces with chicken tenders, chicken wings, and quesadillas. There was even an impromptu wine tasting in the basement wine cellar that was a special surprise
Sara and Charlie took a low-key mini-moon to a cabin in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia with their two doggies, Inari and Fritz.
