Chloe and Wilson have been best friends since 8th and 9th grade. The couple spent two years quietly liking one another, before they officially began dating in High School. Both Chloe and Wilson then continued their relationship while attending college together at Auburn University. After graduation, Chloe moved to Washington, D.C. for law school, while Wilson remained in Alabama to finish his degree at Auburn University.
While Chloe was visiting Wilson and his family in Auburn for Christmas of 2023, he asked her on a drive and the couple spent the day together visiting many of the places that had shaped their relationship. It was a beautiful December day spent doing all of the things the couple did together when Chloe still lived there. Unbeknownst to Chloe, Wilson had also made rooftop reservations at a new hotel. While there and pretending to take a photo together, Wilson got down on one knee to propose with a classic round diamond solitaire set in a yellow gold band. Chloe said “yes” while overlooking Samford Hall and Toomer’s Corner! Wilson had also made reservations at one of their favorite restaurants for dinner and invited both sets of parents to celebrate the joyous occasion together later that evening.
Chloe and Wilson plan to be married in Auburn in August of 2024, but chose Washington, D.C. for their engagement photos, as Wilson plans to join her in the Nation’s Capital for the next chapter in their relationship together. The couple chose two locations in the city for their session: The Jefferson Memorial and National Gallery of Art. Chloe stunned in two beautiful outfits that complement the couple’s light blue wedding colors, while Wilson looked dapper in his navy suit.
The young couple had the most beautiful weather for their winter engagement session, with sunshine, blue skies and mild temperatures. Chloe chose a lace dress with ruffled sleeves for their Jefferson Memorial images and the young couple lovingly interacted in front the blue water of the tidal basin, as well as the marble columns and stairs dipped in golden morning light. Once we headed to the National Gallery of Art, Chloe changed into a strappy blue and white floral dress. Chloe and Wilson led me to their favorite rooms in the gallery and pointed out paintings they love. Chloe even shared that she has life-size replicas of some of the artwork hanging in her living room. Chloe and Wilson could not be any more in love with each other and it truly shows in each and every one of their images!
