Morgan and Travis’ story began during their senior year at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. The routine workouts at the shared gym turned into glances sparking courage in Morgan to approach Travis with a simple ‘hello’. The instant connection was undeniable, leading the couple to enjoy a few dates together until it became evident graduation would lead them in different directions. They decided to stay friends and take a chance to discover their paths post-graduation with Morgan in Charlotte and Travis in Raleigh.
During the pandemic, Morgan returned briefly to her hometown of Benson, NC where she reconnected with Travis, who remained in Raleigh. His calm, kind, and selfless nature made her fall for him easily. Although Morgan moved back to Charlotte in October 2020 to resume her job, their relationship blossomed despite the distance, and a year and a half later, Travis joined Morgan in Charlotte.
Travis, dreaming of a grand gesture, wanted to propose on the football field where Morgan worked for the Carolina Panthers. With the help of some of the Panthers staff, he orchestrated a joyful proposal on March 9, 2024, with the words “Morgan, Will You Marry Me?” written across the jumbotron. Morgan’s coworkers led her to the field under pretense of meeting a new client, while Travis eagerly awaited to propose. As she approached the field corridor, she saw Travis in the center of the field waiting for her with a bouquet in hand, and as Morgan walked over, Travis proposed on one knee. Overwhelmed with joy and surprise, Morgan said yes! The highlight of the day, aside from a dream proposal, was discovering that their families had secretly gathered in a private section of the stadium. The celebration continued with an engagement party surrounded by their loved ones.
Their engagement photos were captured by Alexandra Scott Photography in the charming town of Southport, North Carolina. With Morgan’s family owning a home there, the picturesque downtown and coastal scenery provided the perfect backdrop for their love story.
Morgan and Travis will be married on June 14, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church in downtown Raleigh. The couple’s Catholic faith is integral to both of them, providing a foundation for their relationship and future marriage. The reception will be held at The Umstead Hotel in Cary, with a sprinkle of Morgan’s Lebanese heritage adding unique cultural touches to the celebration. Morgan and Travis eagerly anticipate their wedding day and are thrilled to celebrate with loved ones.
