Traditional wedding dresses don’t often reflect the bride’s personal style. For fashion-forward brides, bridal separates can be the answer to this dilemma. Two-piece wedding dresses can also be a great option for casual weddings, budget-conscious brides, or an elopement. From a lacy crop top and matching skirt to a chambray button-up paired with a tulle skirt, the opportunities for mixing and matching are endless. Maybe a bride wants a short skirt and long sleeves or a pop of color in her wedding dress. No matter what her style, any bride should be able to create her perfect wedding day ensemble.
The crop top wedding dress has been especially popular with untraditional brides. Styles can range from boho-chic to simple and traditional. And for brides who don’t want to shock their grandmothers with a bare midriff, a crop top wedding dress doesn’t necessarily mean the bride has to show a lot of skin. Many styles have only a slight gap between the top and the skirt, and some of my favorite bridal crop tops even have sleeves! If you still dream of looking like Cinderella on your wedding day, a full tulleskirt looks stunning with a lacy crop.
BHLDN has a great selection of bridal separates, but the most eye-catching two-piece dresses are the ones the bride has put together herself. I especially love the unexpected combination of a simple white t-shirt tucked into a full skirt for casual wedding.
