This styled Argentine polo-inspired wedding fuses the dreaminess of an old-world estancia with rustic furnishings, colorful botanicals, and vintage accents to create a timeless, luxe atmosphere that’s like stepping into a reverie.

Garrett Field, a converted vintage airplane hanger, sits just across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans, in inviting Slidell, Louisiana. An old-world estate, Garrett Field sprawls over one-hundred thirty acres of lush greenery, home to grazing horses and polo training fields.

Soft sunlight streams onto the stately traditional white house, in the paddocks, and through the hallway windows leading up to the bride and groom’s respective dressing rooms, showcasing the visual appeal of Garrett Field Estancia’s versatile ceremony and reception locations.

Before the ceremony, the bride and groom were able to stroll about the estate, explore the stables, and capture a few photos with the property’s horses. Hearkening Argentina, a country whose abundance of estancias and polo prowess go hand and hand, Garrett Field styles its interior spaces  with distinguished polo gear and rustic accents to evoke the ease of traditional ranch life.

Basic Invite designed the couple’s transparent vinyl invitations that proved to be a sophisticated design element when placed next to baskets of polo balls and colorful floral displays. Colorful crushed velvet ceremony seating, furnished by Distressed Rentals and Revivals, offered eclectic vintage lounge pieces for the relaxed outdoor ceremony.

The bride wore a stunning Jenny Yoo Valentina V-neck long sleeve wedding gown from Wedding Belles in New Orleans. Intricate lace patterns around the bodice complimented her soft, neutral makeup and side-swept curls styled by Dee Rouzan of Faces and Virtue and adorned with Lush Magnolia’s dried pressed florals. The bride’s exposed neck provided the perfect palette for Lush Magnolia’s temporary dried floral tattooing, whose colors coordinated with the pinks, yellows, and burgundies of her bridal bouquet.

The groom sported a gray chambray tuxedo with an indigo satin shawl lapel from the Black Tux. Paired with classic brown loafers, the groom’s stylish ensemble incorporates elements of polo fashion into wedding attire.

Petals Stems and Florists’ vertical garden wall, complete with an assortment of bright botanicals and floral window boxes, incorporated romantic natural accents into the airy ceremony space. With pink and yellow flowers popping against panels of rustic wood, the altar of greenery offered a vibrant, modern-rustic setting for the couple to say their vows.

The petite cake from the Cake Artistry was meticulously detailed to resemble traditional Argentine textile. Juxtaposed with draped wild ferns and whimsical gold chandeliers, the classic cake provided both an elegant design piece and delicious treat for the newlyweds to enjoy as they popped the evening’s first bottle of champagne.

Each guest received a small bud vase at their place setting decorated with a personalized hand-lettered name ribbon by Ashley Wade Calligraphy. Irresistible bite-sized treats, signature South American mini-empanadas by Argentine native Jimena Urrutia of Empanola Empanadas were the reception dinner’s centerpieces.

Vintage and rustic details enhance the sweeping, natural beauty of Garrett Field’s estancia to create an Argentine polo-inspired wedding that illustrates the dreamy landscape of old-world luxury, perfect for any couple desiring to step back in time in style.
