Styled SHOOTS by Southern Bride is a wedding photographer competition where we feature some of the best wedding photographers across the nation. The photographers are provided the same venues decorated by top local wedding planners and are graded based on their unique vision and imagery of the venue and its design details.
The Styled Challenge is a design competition showcasing the works of talented wedding professionals from various regions. Each designer is given the task to create an exceptional wedding ceremony and reception arrangement in the provided venue. The best design is voted by our viewers on Southern Bride Facebook live. The Nashville competition includes top 3 local wedding planners and 3 exceptional venues: the Four Seasons, Union Station Nashville Yards, and Country Music Hall of Fame.

Amanda Landon of Amanda Marie & Co describes the inspiration for her design. Landon was “inspired by the Location The Four Seasons Nashville and their sister location, Four Seasons Florence Italy. The Four Seasons Nashville has these stunning floor to ceiling windows, that overlook the prettiest party of Nashville. The space is inviting and spacious, so I wanted to add accents of warmth and character.”
It’s always very important to me to pull inspiration from my surroundings at the venue itself. The Four Seasons Nashville has these stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, that overlook the prettiest party of Nashville. The space is inviting and spacious, so I wanted to add accents of warmth and character.
In my designs I always strive to make the room to feel warm & inviting so I brought in elements that bring people together. We want our friends and family to feel at ease, so I try to translate that into my designs. The environment should be wonderfully inviting from the building-up of layers of flowers, candles, and lighting – everything is glamorous, but you feel comfortable.
I wanted to show couples how you can make a hotel ballroom which is usually seen as cold, uninviting, or over the top, transformed into a warm, inviting, European-style event that their guests will be in awe of and rave about.
My design is “European Elegance”. I hope to draw attention to the beauty of the space by bringing in European elements like urns, and lots of romantic taper candlelight. To accent the areas and bring the room to life, I included potted trees, draping vines, and items with lots of texture to soften the space. For lighting, crystal chandeliers hung over the dining tables, adding that elegant glamour to pairs of long reception tables.
I decorated the ceremony area with lots of lush flowers and pillar candlelight.
