Photographer’s Note
“Alright, let’s tease your imagination, think of two wedding styles that would never go together: rustic elements in a modern venue (eek!), beach attire at a barn wedding (omg could you even imagine), or how about a romantic vignette among antlers…. oh wait, we tried it! And it turned out totally gorgeous!! When my team and I started collecting all the pieces to create this shoot, we knew we wanted to take two different looks and create one amazing masterpiece. We all love beautiful, elegant and romantic styles but wanted to challenge ourselves to think outside the box. We decided to take a rustic element such as antlers, and put a spin on it. We didn’t want to use the antlers in a traditional rustic theme you tend to see (such as burlap and mason jars); instead we wanted to center them around a soft romantic setting. We wanted to show Southern can be more than one stereo type, Southern to us is Beauty and Grace, and that was what we wanted to pull off. We incorporated the 2016 Pantone colors of Rose Quartz and Serenity for a soft and dreamy feel, which in my opinion complemented the antlers quite well. In our hearts we knew that the setting had to be sophisticated with many organic elements, which you can see in the bouquet, cake and table setting. But we also love décor that creates a romantic and graceful space, which you can see in the fireplace setting. We are proud of the results of our hard work and hope it inspires future brides to think outside the box when creating their dream wedding.” – Amanda Raulerson of The Veil Wedding Photography
