The Tutwiler Hotel‘s European Wedding Inspiration is so fresh and lovely and all right in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama. We love their inspiration behind the shoot, see all the pretty details below.
We called our inspiration bride, Joy. Joy’s look was inspired by her love for European culture and travel. She has a classic-chic style and wanted to incorporate this into her wedding look. Joy wanted an intimate ceremony with her close family and friends.
This European inspired modern look, was accomplished by playing off the idea of having an intimate “destination” wedding in your own city. We wanted it to feel European and modern with a touch of classic simplicity. The base of the color palette was classic black and white to keep with Joy’s classic-chic style. We used green and golden accents, as well as pops of pink tones to contrast the black and white and play up the modern elegance. We chose a venue that combines history and distinctive style with a modern downtown setting and over 100 year old architecture. We highlighted the marble in the venue with accents of marble in the paper suite and the cake. The combination of the historic architecture of the venue and the lush greenery in the floral design really made it feel like a faraway place while sitting effortlessly in the heart of Downtown Birmingham.
