The Proposal
For power couple Alex Glover, an accomplished sports reporter and analyst seen across networks including ESPN and FOX, and Trey Jemison, NBA star with the World Champion New York Knicks and incoming Toronto Raptor, distance was never more than a detail. Their love story began in the summer of 2024, when Trey reached out after seeing one of Alex’s broadcasting clips on social media. Guided by faith, intention and a year of coast-to-coast flights between New Orleans, Los Angeles and New York, the couple quickly built a foundation that proved unbreakable.
On August 2, 2025, Trey surprised Alex with a proposal – a romantic prelude that set the stage for an even bigger surprise. Knowing they wanted to make their covenant before God first, the couple secretly eloped just one day later, on August 3, in Antigua and Barbuda. They kept their marriage completely under wraps for an entire year, quietly planning a celebration that would finally share their news with the people closest to them.
In Preparation
Planning a 100-guest celebration while navigating Trey’s championship playoff run with the Knicks was no small feat. Between team parades, ESPY appearances and viral TikToks filmed in the middle of playoff madness, Alex embraced her relaxed, “Type B” bride personality. With the help of wedding planner Susanna from Lumi Accents, she brought her warm, Western-chic vision to life. The couple’s style blended classic elegance with unmistakable Western flair.
The Bride: Alex fell in love with the lace Biscotti Dress from Vow’d Nashville on her very first visit, drawn to its romantic detailing and daring slit, which was perfect for pairing with cowgirl boots. For her reception look, she worked virtually with Miami designer Inna Elsie to create a dramatic featherlight robe and a custom sparkle mini dress.
The Groom: At 6-foot-10, Trey turned to the New York-based tailors at Custom Men, the team behind his memorable ESPY look, to create an impeccably fitted custom suit.

The Big Day
On Friday, August 21, 2026, family and friends gathered at Southall Meadows in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. The location offered a convenient destination for both Alex’s Houston family and Trey’s Birmingham roots while providing the perfect setting for the couple’s laid-back, celebratory vision.
Rather than a traditional ceremony, the evening began with an extended cocktail hour filled with personality. Guests enjoyed live saxophone, custom-branded cornhole and a personalized hat bar before being invited to gather around the projector screens for the evening’s biggest surprise.
A high-energy video revealed what no one in the room knew: Alex and Trey had already been married for more than 365 days. The reel included never-before-seen footage from their intimate Antigua elopement, giving their loved ones a glimpse into the secret chapter of their love story.
The couple shared their first dance to “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts before the celebration kicked into high gear. A colorful surprise later took over the dance floor, while Alex and Trey took turns riding the mechanical bull and danced alongside Trey’s NBA teammates. From beginning to end, the evening was filled with laughter, energy and plenty of unexpected moments.
The Retreat
Rather than immediately heading off on a honeymoon, the newlyweds extended the celebration into a multi-day weekend retreat, sharing a house with their closest friends and members of their wedding party.
With Trey preparing for his next NBA chapter in Canada with the Toronto Raptors and Alex set to begin her college volleyball broadcasting season just days later, the couple decided to postpone their formal honeymoon until the following year.
For Alex and Trey, the celebration was about so much more than a wedding reception. It was an opportunity to finally gather everyone they loved in one place and celebrate a covenant rooted in faith, spontaneity and the simple decision to choose one another, every single day.
