The Proposal
After five incredible years together, Nick planned the perfect proposal for Ansley at the Four Seasons Resort in Orlando, Florida. Earlier that day, Ansley, a Florida native, spent the day at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom with her mom and a close family friend—all part of what she believed was a special “girls weekend.”
Later, back at the resort, the trio dressed up to check out a new cocktail bar. However, as they made their way downstairs, Ansley was led out to the private balcony where Nick was waiting. A live violinist played Ansley’s favorite songs—from Taylor Swift hits to Disney classics. Nick had thoughtfully planned each detail and presented Ansley with a custom-designed engagement ring. The ring featured diamonds that previously belonged to Ansley’s mother and grandmother, transforming the ring into a beautiful family heirloom to be passed down through generations. After a joyful and intimate moment celebrating together and capturing photos as a newly engaged couple, Ansley was surprised again. Both of their families had gathered at the resort, ready to celebrate with a heartfelt dinner.

In Preparation
In the months leading up to their wedding, Ansley and her mom poured their hearts into planning a personal and unforgettable celebration of love. From late nights spent over mood boards to joyful vendor meetings, the two shared countless special moments deciding on everything from linens and lighting to florals and favors. Ansley and Nicholas wanted their wedding to be a reflection of family, heritage, and the vibrant community of Ybor City, where the celebration would take place. With Ansley being a Florida native and Nick hailing from Indiana, the couple treated their Ybor City wedding weekend as a destination getaway for their friends and family traveling in from across the country. Celebrations were kicked off with an engagement party, followed by two beautiful bridal showers featuring traditional registry treasures from Royal Gifts and Fine China. Ansley’s bachelorette party was straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie—effortlessly stylish, heartfelt, and full of laughter and love.

The Big Day
On November 2nd, 2024, surrounded by friends and family, Ansley Blackwell married Nicholas Wright at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida. Ansley spent the morning getting ready in a traditional Ybor City casita, surrounded by her lifelong friends. They enjoyed a lovely brunch prepared by Chef Rocco, as laughter filled the space and anticipation built. There, Ansley shared emotional first looks with her bridesmaids, her stepdad Rolando, and her father Troy. Getting ready alongside her mom, Cristal, and her grandmother Lillian—who Ansley felt especially blessed to have by her side at 91—made the morning even more meaningful. Meanwhile, just a few blocks away at Hotel Haya, Nicholas enjoyed a peaceful start to the day with his brothers and closest friends. They drank coffee, traded stories, and took in the moment, soaking up the calm before the celebration.
The day unfolded with joy and intention, full of the little details that made the celebration so personal: family heirlooms, a vintage cake topper passed down through generations, and thoughtful touches that honored both Ansley and Nicholas’s upbringings. As the night came to a close, guests were treated to a surprise late-night snack: Chick-fil-A, complete with the cow mascot making an appearance on the dance floor. Ansley and Nicholas’s wedding was a day full of love and laughter from beginning to end.

The Retreat
Although the newlyweds had planned on a tropical island getaway, unfortunate weather led them to change their destination to Paris. This decision turned out to be a magical twist of fate for Ansley and Nick. Together, they explored the City of Light, enjoying French wine and pastries, afternoons in world-class art museums, and a private boat cruise down the Seine River. Their honeymoon was spontaneous, romantic, and unforgettable—a wonderful beginning for their next shared chapter.
