The Proposal
On July 7th, 2020, Erik proposed to Dria after the two closed on their first house. After the paperwork was signed, the couple received their keys to complete their first walkthrough as homeowners. When they arrived at their new home, they were greeted by friends and family welcoming them inside. Mere moments after Dria walked onto her new driveway, Erik got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Dria accepted his engagement, and ecstatically, the two began the next chapter of their lives.
In Preparation
After Dria realized how overwhelming the wedding planning process was, she decided to hire the marvelous Shatila Davis. With her outstanding guidance, Shatila helped the couple immensely, executing each task perfectly. Through selecting vendors, coordinating every detail, and keeping Dria and Erik on track for their wedding date, Shatila was able to bring their lovely vision to life and give the couple the wedding of their dreams.
The Big Day
On Friday, October 7th, 2022, Dria Gomes married Erik Mills at the historical mansion, the Swan House, in Atlanta, Georgia. Dria and Erik began their day by getting ready in their separate Air BnBs. Their wonderful hair and makeup artists helped prepare them for their photographs. Dria and Erik chose not to do a first look, wishing to keep everything a beautiful surprise. Dria made an incredible grand entrance. She walked through the Swan Houses’s double doors, then down two flights of ornate stairs to meet her soon-to-be husband, Erik.
Following the wedding ceremony and additional pictures, Dria and Erik were introduced to the reception as Mr. and Mrs. Mills. After a choreographed first dance, the newlyweds were showered with kind speeches. The wedding party ate amazing food, including the gorgeous four-tier wedding cake, and danced the night away. Dria and Erik cannot thank all their vendors enough for making everything perfect, stating that they could not have dreamed of a better day.
The Retreat
Dria and Erik spent their honeymoon savoring the beaches of Miami and enjoying ceviche. They stayed two nights at the luxurious hotel, Fontane Blue, located in Miami Beach. Dria and Erik spent the remaining portion of their trip at the neighboring W South Beach Hotel. They filled their days with shopping, walks on the beach, and eating delicious gelato. The newlyweds said their trip was a fantastic way to relax and appreciate each other’s company after their best and busiest day of their lives.
