The Proposal
It was a picture-perfect afternoon in late November—crisp and sunny, the kind of day that practically begged to be spent outdoors. Chip had planned what she believed was a simple hike at Radnor Lake, one of her favorite nature spots in Nashville. Golden leaves still clung to the trees, and the quiet trails offered a sense of peace and connection that always came with being immersed in nature.
As they walked, they worked their way through a list of 100 questions meant to be discussed before getting engaged. When they paused to take in the view of the lake, she had no idea what was about to happen.
Chip stopped and turned to her, taking her hands and asking if she was ready for the 101st question—the final one. Then he got down on one knee. The moment felt suspended in time—unexpected, overwhelming, and absolutely perfect.
He pulled out a stunning oval-cut diamond set on a delicate, timeless gold band. The ring sparkled brilliantly in the sunlight, but what took her breath away even more was the look on his face—the sincerity and love that made the moment unforgettable.
Completely shocked, she experienced it all at once: gasps, tears, laughter—and, of course, a joyful yes. Though she usually has an instinct for surprises, she truly did not see this one coming.
Thankfully, Chip had arranged for a photographer to capture the moment from afar, giving them images they will treasure forever.
They spent the rest of the walk floating—hand in hand—soaking in the joy of the moment and the quiet magic of the place where it all began. Later, Chip took her to Circa in Thompson Station, Tennessee, the restaurant where they had shared their first date, to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter.
In Preparation
Planning their wedding was one of the most exciting—and meaningful—journeys of her life. From the very beginning, her mother was her greatest support system (aside from Chip) and co-planner, helping with every detail from dress fittings to table-setting mock-ups. It became a deeply special season for both of them, filled with coffee-fueled planning sessions, happy tears, and joyful squeals over the perfect finds.
They were incredibly blessed to have Anna Claire Latta and the talented team at EBJ & Co. as their coordinators. With exceptional attention to detail, a calming presence, and thoughtful guidance, the entire planning process felt seamless. The team truly understood her vision and brought it to life in ways that felt both personal and elevated. From curating the vendor team to keeping timelines on track and dreaming up creative touches, EBJ & Co. was a dream to work with.
Every choice—from the invitation suite to the ceremony music—was infused with heart. Knowing she would marry the love of her life surrounded by the people who helped build the day made the experience even more meaningful. She truly could not have done it without her mother and their incredible team.
The Big Day
Their wedding day was a true dream come to life, with every moment overflowing with beauty, love, and gratitude. They were married at the stunning Scarritt Bennett Center, a venue that felt like a slice of Europe tucked into the heart of Nashville. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated beneath soaring arches as natural light poured through stained-glass windows.
The florals by Marisol McCall were nothing short of breathtaking—lush, romantic, and thoughtfully curated to reflect the heart of the day. From elegant bouquets to dramatic altar arrangements, every bloom added to the magic.
Jenn Strobl Photography captured each moment with grace and artistry, creating images they will cherish forever. A breathtaking release of doves symbolized their union and new beginnings, while the reception featured deeply personal touches, including a memory table honoring grandparents in Heaven, a hunting-themed groom’s cake by Caitlin Weekley, and an unforgettable performance by Dove Award–winning artist Billy Gaines.
One of the most emotional moments of the day was a surprise tribute to her mother. As Carrie Underwood’s Mama’s Song played, she walked over to her mom to thank her for everything.
Before they said “I do,” their families joined them in prayer. God’s presence was undeniable, and His goodness was written all over the day.
The Retreat
For their honeymoon, they embarked on a magical European adventure—an unforgettable journey through Italy, Switzerland, and the South of France. They began in Rome, wandering ancient cobblestone streets hand in hand, tossing coins into the Trevi Fountain, and savoring pasta beneath the stars. From there, they traveled to Florence, where Renaissance art and dreamy rooftop sunsets stole their hearts.
Next was Venice, a city as romantic as it gets. They glided through canals and intentionally got lost in charming alleyways before heading to the breathtaking cliffs of Positano, where every view looked like a postcard and every lemon tasted sweeter. After soaking up the Amalfi sun, they ventured north to Lake Lugano, Switzerland, where serene waters met the Alps in a peaceful, picture-perfect setting.
Their journey continued along the French Riviera with stops in Nice, where vibrant beaches and flowing rosé set the tone, and Monte Carlo, where they felt like royalty.
It was the perfect blend of culture, romance, and adventure—an absolute dream honeymoon they will treasure forever, and the perfect beginning to their new life together.
