The Proposal
Kristin and Josh first met at Kristin’s niece’s wedding in 2016. She hired Josh’s band, Backroad Anthem, to perform during the reception. They quickly became close friends and Kristin even grew close with the other band members. She knew Josh was “the one” and thought to herself “why would I ever let this guy go?” The two are best friends and love to write and play music together.
In Preparation
The couple enlisted Crystal Frasier Weddings and Events to help plan their ceremony and reception. Kristin and Josh envisioned a romantic celebration filled with florals and elements that spoke to their personalities, style, and relationship. They opted for a soft color palette of white, ivory, creme, peach, blush, light pink, and champagne. They would exchange vows amongst a gorgeous display of calla lilies, garden roses, majolica, spray roses, hydrangea, ranunculus, veronica, and mums.
The Big Day
Kristin’s father accompanied her down the aisle to meet Josh. She wore a stunning Pamella Rolan gown, which Kristin says she loved at first sight. It has a nude silhouette with a pink overlay, tiny pearl flowers all over the bodice that ombré out to the floor, and a generous bow on the back. The couple’s dog, Thunder, wore an adorable pink bow and had her collar embellished with baby’s breath for her big role as ring bearer. Their personal lives inspired other wedding details as well including the signature cocktails and midnight snack 7-Eleven Slurpees and Dunkin’ Donuts. Everyone delighted in a gourmet dinner featuring southern comfort dishes like beef tenderloin, whipped potatoes, and haricot verts. Kristin and Josh then cut into a five-tier Mexican vanilla bean cake with buttercream filling and happily fed each other bites of the sweet confection.
The Retreat
The newlyweds traveled to Hawaii for their honeymoon.
