The Proposal
Lindsay and Camden’s friends believe that they were destined to meet. Even if Lindsay’s best friend hadn’t urged her to create a dating app profile. Ever since Lindsay swiped right on Camden’s profile and went on a first date, the pair knew they had found something special. On a not-so-particular Monday evening, Lindsay and Camden dressed up for a night out. Their first stop was STIR Charlotte for cocktails and delicious appetizers. While enjoying the restaurant’s signature drinks, Camden was obsessively checking his phone, and Lindsay began to suspect that Camden had something up his sleeve. After all, he was never on his phone this much. Following drinks, Lindsay and Camden went to meet Camden’s coworkers at the Bank of America building – one of the buildings his architectural firm designed. When they arrived, no coworkers were in sight. Instead, Camden got on one knee and asked Lindsay to marry him with the Charlotte skyline as the perfect backdrop.
In Preparation
Following Camden’s proposal, Lindsay, along with her parents, aunt, cousins, and other family members, helped her plan the wedding of her dreams. The breathtakingly beautiful Gaston Country Club in Gastonia, North Carolina, played host to their wedding reception. Springvine designed the florals while Professional Party Rentals and BBJ Tavola enhanced the decor. Lindsay and Camden found the most beautiful wedding bands from Diamonds Direct. The sweetest invitations created by Ink Sugar Co. set the tone, and once they booked the entertainment and the cake tasted and chosen, they knew all of the other details would be smooth sailing.
The Big Day
The August sun was bright and hot as the bridal party got their hair and makeup done and prepared for a celebratory day. It meant so much to Lindsay that Cali Scott Artistry styled her mother’s wig as she battled the challenges of fighting cancer to be there for her daughter. Also beside Lindsay throughout the day was the talented Lauren Jonas Photography, who was once Lindsay’s childhood babysitter. During the couple’s first look, Camden teared up seeing Lindsey in her Rosa Clara dress and veil from Ladies of Lineage. Serrano Film Co. captured this tender moment in one of the most moving scenes from their wedding video. Lindsay’s rose gold Loeffler Randall shoes matched her rose gold rings, while Camden’s Clemson University-inspired orange socks made a statement with his tuxedo. The ceremony took place in the church Lindsey had attended since birth. The couple enjoyed riding and taking photos in a Sunway Charters trolley between wedding festivities. From ceremony to reception, Marla Lawson Events ensured the day was flawless. Per tradition, the couple cut into a delicious Cake Me Away Bakery cake, with Lindsay’s nephew eagerly awaiting a slice. After dancing the night away, the newlyweds departed in a Royal Limousine getaway car.
The Retreat
Lindsay and Camden enjoyed a tropical honeymoon at the gorgeous, all-inclusive Sandals Grenada in St. Georges. They spent a week celebrating their marriage and beginning their journey together, but as Lindsay said, “We made sure we got back to the Carolinas in time for the Clemson-Georgia game!”
