The Proposal
During a family vacation to Garden City Beach, Chance planned the perfect proposal. He asked Madison to take a walk to the pier, and though it gave Madison pause as Chance is not much for a stroll, they went for a romantic walk. As they made their way back to the beach house, a photographer stopped them and asked to take a few pictures to help her correct the camera settings. As Chance and Madison posed, Madison could feel Chance’s heart racing. Before she could figure it out, Chance went down on bended knee and proposed.
In Preparation
Madison instantly knew that The Reserve, conveniently located across the place where she and Chance first crossed paths, was the ideal venue for their wedding, making it the perfect backdrop for the color palette of greens and blues in the month of May. For just shy of a year, Madison, her mother, and planner meticulously crafted the details of the wedding. With Madison’s plethora of creative wedding ideas, they honed in on her must-haves and identified common themes to design a day that authentically captured the essence of Madison and Chance as a couple.
The Big Day
Madison Barr and Chance Osburn’s love story came full circle on May 11, 2024, as they exchanged vows at The Reserve at Hot Springs, just a stone’s throw away from the very place where their paths first crossed at the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Despite a week of relentless rain casting doubts on the weather for their special day, May 11th dawned with radiant sunshine and allowed Madison’s vision of a Southern charm-infused affair with a contemporary twist to be executed flawlessly.
Guest experience was paramount for Madison and Chance and was evident in their thoughtful choices of unique elements to surprise guests throughout the night. From a live wedding painter who crafted one-of-kind favors, to “disco dancers” officially opening the dance floor, to opting for two photo booths instead of one, a phone booth that also served as a “confessional” of funny stories about the bride and groom – guests truly were entertained at every turn. They even included pizza as their late-night snack, a personal cuisine that Madison and Chance eat about every week and had on their first date. One of the most striking features of the evening was the breathtaking 12×18 rigging system adorned with lush greenery and cascading roses that elegantly draped over the dance floor. As the night progressed, the floral canopy transformed the space into a fairytale setting, enchanting guests and setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration of love and union.
The Retreat
The bride and groom are contemplating between Lake Como or Greece for their delayed honeymoon getaway.
