The Proposal
On August 21st, 2021, space enthusiasts Angela and Michelle traveled to Jacksonville, Florida, in hopes of finding a dark place to view the Perseid meteor shower. To Michelle’s delight, Angela had a special surprise planned. After watching the shooting stars, Angela told Michelle she had something to show her. Angela loves seashells, so Michelle presumed that she had found one while digging in the sand next to them. But instead, Michelle looked over and saw Angela kneeling before her, her beautiful smile matching the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. Michelle said yes, then a few months later surprised Angela with a proposal. Michelle proposed to Angela with a keychain inscribed with the date and location of their meteor shower proposal.
In Preparation
Angela and Michelle decided upon Fall Line Brewing Company, a rustic yet chic wedding venue space. Their wedding theme was inspired by the popular television series Bridgerton. During a Netflix Binge, the couple fell in love with Bridgerton, swooning for the elaborate ensembles, drama, flowers, strings, and most of all, love stories. While brainstorming ideas for their wedding, the Bridgerton look was suggested, and the engaged couple knew right away it was the theme for them. They enlisted the help of wedding planner, Callie Carr Events, to help their Bridgerton vision come to life.
The Big Day
On Saturday, March 4th, 2023, Michelle Thompson married Angela Windham at Fall Line Brewing Company in Macon, Georgia. Surrounded by beloved friends and family, their wedding was filled with love from start to finish. The colorful flowers, welcoming spring, and smelling like an English garden, were provided by Julie Dominy Floral Artistry. Live string music by Atlanta Sound transported guests back in time. Personalized pieces were added to the elegant decor, including a painting of Michelle and Angela’s cherished pups, Poppy and Piper, dressed in royal garb and adorned in an ornate gold frame. Angela and Michelle described their wedding as the definition of a perfect day.
The Retreat
For Angela and Michelle’s honeymoon, the newlyweds traveled to the beautiful island of Moorea, located in French Polynesia and known for its gorgeous, crystal-clear waters. The two stayed at the Hilton Lagoon Resort and Spa in a beautiful overwater bungalow. Each morning, they awoke to stunning sunrises from their private sun deck and enjoyed breathtaking views of the ocean and nearby mountains. During the day, the two participated in kayaking, snorkeling, swimming with the stingrays, and island tours. At night, they dined at one of the resort’s open-air and over-water restaurants. They ended their day watching fish, sharks, and stingrays swim through the glass floor-viewing panel. Their honeymoon trip was an amazing way to recover from wedding stress and start their married life together.
