The Proposal
Paige and David dated for a little over a year before getting engaged, although they had been friends for several years prior. On August 4, 2024, Paige thought she was going to dinner with her roommates while David was out golfing, but once her friend, who was driving, took an unexpected turn, Paige started to get suspicious. As they arrived at Turtle Creek Park in Dallas, Texas, Paige noticed David waiting for her, and at once everything became clear.
David had planned a thoughtful proposal with help from both families, who waited at the park to cheer the engaged couple. The surprise continued with an engagement party at a nearby restaurant, making it a perfect proposal.

In Preparation
It did not take long for Paige and David to start planning their dream wedding. Only a day after getting engaged, the couple finalized the wedding date and the venue choice came naturally as there was no other place more meaningful to get married than Paige’s family Oklahoma ranch. With nine months to prepare, Paige, with the tremendous help from her mom, began planning all the details. They enlisted Allison Butcher with Keely Thorne Events, who also planned Paige’s sister’s wedding, to help create an unforgettable day.
Over the following months, Paige and her team met with vendors, indulged in food and cake tastings while ensuring to enjoy the engagement period. Paige credits her wedding planner for making the process smooth and enjoyable.
Taking inspiration from her sister’s wedding, Paige knew she wanted a tented ranch wedding but with a fresh, distinctive design. Jackson Durham Events, who supplied the florals and rentals, brought the couple’s vision to life, creating the wedding design of their dreams.

The Big Day
Paige prepared for the big day at her parents’ house which was conveniently located at the ranch where the familiar surroundings provided calm and comfort, while David and his groomsmen got ready at a nearby hotel in Pawhuska. Paige’s excitement to get married overrode any sense of anxiousness.
The ceremony reflected the couple’s connection to their faith and family, committing to each other before a wooden cross draped in cascading flowers, exchanging the same vows their parents spoke on their wedding days. Standing next to the couple were twelve beautiful bridesmaids adorned in green Jenny Yoo dresses and twelve dashing groomsmen, with sunshine and clear skies overhead that Paige prayed for her wedding day.
The most meaningful part of the ceremony, which was officiated by their dear friend J.R. Allen, was the couple taking communion together, providing a pause in the excitement of the day.
The custom-built reception venue covered in intricate floral arrangements, bursting with bright, joyful hues greeted the 500 guests following the ceremony. Paige envisioned floral arrangements that felt alive and full of movement, with the end result exceeding her expectations. With a nod to her ranch roots, the decor included saddles as bar stools, cowboy boot bottle openers as escort cards, and a custom bandana embroidery station. A guest sketch artist provided keepsake portraits.
Paige and David’s first dance song “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton reflected their early romance when the couple attended the concert as one of their date nights, followed by sweet moments as the couple danced with their parents. Paige danced to
“That Girl is a Cowboy” by Garth Brooks with her father, while David danced with his mom to Willie Nelson’s “My Mother’s Eyes”.
The night continued with music by Dry Water, late-night bites of mini corn dogs and boozy milkshakes, and a private last dance to Flatland Cavalry’s “A Life Where We Work Out.” As the couple departed, rain began to fall creating a dramatic end to a perfect day. Festivities wrapped with a disco-rodeo afterparty at Paige’s mother’s pizza restaurant, where guests danced until 3 a.m.

The Retreat
For their honeymoon, Paige and David chose the Four Seasons Resort at Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica. After a one-day delay due to David misplacing his passport, they spent nine unforgettable nights at the resort. The trip was a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, featuring a scenic boat ride, a round of golf, rejuvenating massages, and a romantic sunset dinner on the beach. The couple was deeply touched by the warmth and kindness of the hotel staff and found it hard to say goodbye. To top it all off, the Oklahoma City Thunder won the NBA semifinals during their stay—an unexpected highlight that made the trip even sweeter.
