The Proposal
Kyle proposed in Belize just before sunrise during a quiet morning by the water. What started as a simple walk quickly turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of their relationship. Although he had carefully planned exactly what he wanted to say, his nerves completely took over the moment he got down on one knee. In fact, Kyle and Sydney did not even make it to the sand before the proposal happened, with no one else around except the sound of the ocean and the early morning light.
Sydney immediately noticed how nervous he was, which somehow made the moment feel even more special. Between the peaceful surroundings and the emotion of the moment, everything felt intimate and genuine. Belize will always hold a special place in their hearts as the place
where their forever began. You better Belize it!
In Preparation
The months leading up to the wedding were incredibly personal, creative, and filled with meaningful details. While working full time as a nurse at a children’s hospital and attending school full time to become a nurse practitioner, she spent many late nights hand painting elements to complement her hand-painted gown from House of Savin. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to feel cohesive and truly one of a kind, reflecting both their story and the intention behind the day. For the reception tables, they sourced vintage china so that each of their 100 guests dined on a different plate, creating a layered, collected tablescape that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
Guests were gifted handmade jam from the family farm, a heartfelt touch that honored their families and traditions. Throughout the celebration, a watercolor artist captured guests in real time, creating beautiful, personal keepsakes that preserved the emotion and joy of the day in a way no photograph alone could.
Kyle was a basketball coach, and because they met in March of 2019 during March Madness, it felt especially meaningful that they married during March Madness as well, a full-circle moment that reflected exactly where their story began. In the days leading up to the wedding, they walked along the beach together, reminiscent of that early morning in Belize, bringing everything full circle once again. In one of their favorite spontaneous memories, they jumped into the freezing cold ocean together, fully embracing the excitement of the weekend and the start of their new chapter.
They also hosted an all-white party at the beach where guests wore white while the bride wore blue and carried a seashell detail to symbolize the ocean and the significance it has held throughout their relationship. Surrounded by natural beauty and the people who mean the most to them, every moment of the celebration felt deeply intentional, spiritual, and completely unforgettable.

The Big Day
The wedding took place Easter weekend, making the day feel even more meaningful and spiritual as they began a new chapter rooted in love, faith, and family. The ceremony was set beneath the iconic live oak trees at Caledonia, draped in Spanish moss, with blooming azaleas creating a breathtaking and timeless backdrop. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, including a floral arrangement purse that blended seamlessly into the garden-inspired setting and personalized golf balls as a nod to the beautiful course surroundings.
Rather than a traditional bridal party, they chose to have family play a central role, with grandparents walking down the aisle, a quiet, moving symbol of the generations of love that came before them. One of the most special moments of the evening was surprising Kyle’s mother by incorporating her vintage ring as the wedding band, honoring family history in the most personal way possible.
Guests were welcomed into a floral-inspired black tie evening, beginning with a cocktail hour featuring signature espresso martinis that set a lively “power hour” energy alongside spicy margaritas, before moving into a seated black tie dinner. The celebration continued as everyone danced the night away to a live band and ended, perfectly, with a late-night Chick-fil-A spread that kept the party going and felt entirely, joyfully like them.

The Retreat
The couple honeymooned at the Sandals Saint Vincent, in beautiful Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a perfect start to married life. From slow mornings overlooking the bright blue Caribbean water to snorkeling hand in hand with sea turtles, every moment felt unforgettable. Between the quiet beaches, lush green mountains, and unreal sunsets, it was the perfect place to relax, explore, and take it all in.
