The Proposal
Chris and Taylor met and lived in Boston, so it only made sense for him to propose in their favourite city on March 4, 2021. He told Taylor they would meet one of his coworkers for drinks. As they walked down Commonwealth Ave just as the sun set, Chris got down on one knee and popped the question. A photographer was waiting for them to capture the big moment! An after-party with friends and family made this the best night Taylor could have ever imagined.
In Preparation
Since Taylor and Chris lived in Boston, they relied on their Florida-based event planner to make their destination wedding dreams come true. After many Zoom meetings, things began coming together for the big day! Unfortunately, a hurricane in October destroyed their original venue two months prior. The bride and the bride’s mother raced down to Florida for a last-minute site visit and chose a new venue, The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. Some may call it fate because the new venue perfectly matched their theme and wedding aesthetic.
The Big Day
Taylor and Chris loved every moment of their wedding day. It was a beautiful day in Southwest Florida, and even though it was a destination wedding, many friends and family could attend to celebrate with the couple. They were off to the reception after a memorable ceremony with lots of happy tears! The dance floor stayed packed all night. Taylor’s favorite part of the day was having her closest friends and family together in one place. Chris’s favorite part was the Irish Band, which surprised him with songs that reminded him of his grandparents. It will be a day they will never forget!

The Retreat
After a gorgeous (and hot) wedding weekend in Florida, Taylor and Chris couldn’t wait to return to New England to get in the Christmas spirit. After flying home, the newlyweds took a road trip to Vermont, where they stayed at Edson Hill, a boutique luxury hotel. Throughout their four-day stay, they sipped on maple margaritas by the fireplace and reminisced on their wedding before returning to Boston for the holidays. It was the perfect getaway before starting married life together.
