Austin Riley, an All-star, third baseman for the Atlanta Braves is celebrating his fifth-year wedding anniversary (the wood anniversary). Can you speak a bit regarding his personal inspiration behind this collection?
The collection revolves around Austin’s passions both on and off the field. Austin is a devoted father and husband so the opportunity to create a collection in honor of his wooden anniversary had extra meaning.
“I’m proud to team up with Ring Bear on this collection that reflects my love of family, baseball and being outdoors. These rings are lightweight, versatile, and allow me to switch them up based on the occasion” says Riley.
How did Ring Bear founder, David Schoenfeld and Austin Riley decide on how to best incorporate the natural materials of Antler and Koa Wood the ring design?
We set out to create wedding bands that Austin and his friends would enjoy wearing. By inlaying natural materials such as Koa Wood, Ash Wood and Deer Antler into the designs, the collection is deeply rooted in Austin’s favorite pastimes of baseball and hunting. And, as mentioned, Austin and Anna recently celebrated their wood anniversary. “Together, we have created a collection that celebrates both America’s pastime and the great outdoors, offering couples a meaningful way to symbolize their marriage” says Schoenfeld.
Ring Bear prides itself on their comfortable designs for active men. All eight pieces of the collection are designed with a Comfort Fit. How does their signature rounded interior work to provide flexible everyday comfort?
Ring Bear tested almost a hundred iterations of our signature comfort fit design to find the right balance for everyday wear. We designed the interior of the ring for enhanced comfort as we believe his wedding band should naturally integrate into his lifestyle.
