Lauren and Robbie’s beautiful October wedding in Virginia’s Murray Hill is a stunning, rustic fall affair without losing the fun and spookiness of Halloween.
Southern Bride loves a hands-on bride and groom, and this couple went above and beyond to be a part of every little detail of their big day. Â Much of the wedding details, they did themselves. Lauren wore a dress and veil made by her grandmother. She even sewed a little pocket for gloves or a hankie in the skirt, and the groom hand-drew the Save the Dates.
This incredible couple infused spooky elements into their Hallo-wedding without being overdone. Â The aisles were lined with pumpkins, they had a candy bar complete with candy eyeballs, and the two even had a dress up photo booth with vampire teeth for everyone. Â Having an all-you-can-eat candy bar at your wedding shows that the bride and groom are still kids at heart. Â And there is no better time to provide your guests with a candy sugar high than at a Halloween wedding.
It’s pretty much a given that if you’re having a fall wedding, your bridesmaids are going to be wearing plaid in your getting ready shots. Â And Southern Bride is totally ok with that. Â Flannel is super cute and casual, but can also keep your bridal party warm in the chilly fall months.
Other elements like the bourbon bar, deep red florals and maroon decor were not so spooky but definitely fall-chic. Their guest book was a polaroid camera, and the two shared their first dance to Elvis and left their wedding by nighttime bubble exit.
