Spring 2020 Cover Couple, Country Singer Rachel Reinert & Musician Caleb Crosby, Hit a Perfect Note With Their Boho Chic Wedding Style

The talented duo married on August 31, 2019 at Sulfur Ridge™, in Bloomington Springs, Tennessee. Every bride who has dreamed of having a bohemian inspired ceremony, will absolutely love the details from this outdoor, summer wedding. Read on for Rachel and Caleb’s proposal story and preparation plans.

THE PROPOSAL. Caleb was hired to play drums for me in my former band about five years ago. We instantly hit it off and have been together ever since. The proposal took place in Savannah, Georgia. We traveled to Tybee Island for Valentine’s Day and took a walk on the beach one day. It was a quiet and peaceful afternoon, with absolutely no one else around. We stopped at the jetties to take pictures and the next thing I knew, he was down on one knee!

THE PREPARATION. We kept the planning process as low-key as possible! I didn’t want to feel stressed or overwhelmed since we both have really busy work schedules. We decided to do an immediate family only wedding, with thirteen guests total. Instead of a traditional reception, we moved everyone over to a tent with string lights where we cut and ate cake and made champagne toasts. The next night, we had a big, sit-down dinner with our families as a way to recap from the wedding and continue celebrating all together.

Susan Dyer, the owner of Sulfur Ridge™ (our wedding venue), was such a source of help and inspiration while preparing for the big day. I was going for a boho-chic theme and she made my vision come to life. Susan and her husband built the arbor we said “I do” under. They also cut lots of little tree stumps, which we placed mason jar candles on, lining the pathway to the landing where we exchanged vows.
