Happy Cinco de Mayo, southern brides!
The Virginia Cliffe Inn, located in Richmond Virginia, provided a lush backdrop for a festive Mexican inspired wedding. The true essence of an authentic cultural fiesta with close friends and family was achieved with paper flower décor, vibrant floral displays, succulents, brightly colored his and hers sombreros, and of course, delicious Mexican food complete with tequila bar.
Handcrafted invitations written in Spanish, decorated with floral laser cut overlay along with a Mexican mosaic note pad favor.
The simple and elegant ceremony inspiration site was adorned with exaggerated DIY paper flowers paired with tropical flowers in enlarged margarita glasses. Once the couple shares their vows, the parents draped the bride and groom in a Swarovski crystal lasso — a special Latino tradition symbolizing their everlasting union.
The bride wore a lace dress and a fresh flower hairpiece, extenuating the Spanish flare.
The detailed Mexican hand painted embroidery inspired cake celebrated the bold & vibrant heritage.
At dinner, the bride and groom enjoyed a mariachi serenade, including the renowned song “Ay Ay Ay Cielito Lind”.
And what better way to end the celebration than with a candy filled Piñata?
