Inspired by romantic trips to Paris, Kim decided to take her visual skills to the next level and started Kim Bensing Designs. Her studio, located on a 19th century farm in Pennsylvania, is where she finds her inspiration to “artistically capture distinct styles for special events.” Her list of jobs, awards, and recognitions is impressive, but what we love most is her dedication to her brides and her attention to details.

Before she starts designing, Kim spends around two hours with her brides, one on the phone, and the other in person, if possible. She listens to your story, and gets all of those little details we talked about earlier. Starting with a monogram or logo, she then designs the invitations, and then on to all of the other little aspects. Thank you cards, rubber stamps, and gorgeous custom wax seals, to name a few, help to tie your entire wedding together. In the following years, she can even create baby announcements that tie in with your design from your wedding, continuing the story of your new little family.
She calls this “branding your wedding.” “Develop a concept, a message you’d like to share with your guests, and then creatively design the invitation suite around it. It helps guests to engage and really get excited. It also solidifies the couple. When a couple can articulate why they are getting married and share the sentiment they feel with others, it brings everyone together.”
