When the design team began crafting the concept, their intention was to honor the Gulf Coast ambiance, paying homage to both their home and the setting for the shoot. The couple and the venue’s story served as the starting point; from there, the water became their muse, and then the muse became a work of art.

The overall design became more than decor; it was a gallery of curated art pieces, with each design moment crafted with the same devotion a painter gives their canvas.
The design team’s intent was to capture the eye the way a magnificent piece of art does — inviting guests to pause in the moment, to feel, and to look again. As if one were standing in Monet’s garden itself, every pastel is expressive, layered in color and texture, revealing itself with each brushstroke like a living composition.
Looking toward the “trend-setting” event-design future, the design team offers a call to the industry: clients, planners, and designers can think beyond the trends — letting art, nature, and layered storytelling become their muses, and allowing those muses to inspire their own signature “trend.”

Layering Aesthetic With Confidence
Rules are out; artistry is in. The design team blended textures, prints, eras, and finishes to create layered, editorial environments that felt alive. It is the contrast of modern and vintage, shiny and matte, textured and smooth — that creates the magnificence. From this “trend-setting moment,” the design team wants to encourage planners, designers, and couples to embrace the unexpected and trust the beauty of bold combinations.

Crafting Experiences That Reflect the Client, Not the Trend Cycle
An experience is only meaningful if it’s personal. The design team wants to move beyond “Pinterest moments” and design celebrations rooted in who the couple is, rather than what’s currently trending. Why? Because the couple or client is the trend.

Transforming Space Design
The design team is moving past traditional looks and floor plans, redefining what a wedding space can be and how it can make guests feel. The Grand Resort is already so beautiful; the team wanted to lean into the natural elements — oak trees, water views, butterfly gardens — and enhance the natural beauty by working with the existing landscape. The goal is to make the design elements feel as if they have always existed there.
