The Velvet Frame
The Trendsetter Series by Southern Bride presents
designed by Stunning and Brilliant Events
A raised blush platform sets the scene against pink draping, framed by rich moss-green velvet curtains. A white grand piano, accompanied by a pianist in a blush gown, anchors one side, while classical busts and sculptural figures displayed on white columns line the other. The result is a ceremony setting that feels equal parts art gallery and theatrical stage.

Blush, mauve, and vibrant hot pink mingle with chartreuse hydrangeas, burgundy anthuriums, and pink-veined caladium leaves for a palette that feels both romantic and unexpected. A dramatic, asymmetrical floral installation draws the eye toward the couple, while arrangements displayed on white pedestals introduce height and dimension. For a softer contrast, white urns hold garden-inspired groupings of ranunculus, tulips, chamomile, and peach carnations.

Two distinct tablescapes bring their own personality to the celebration. The first pairs velvet-green linens with pink-and-red patterned plates atop gold-leaf chargers, rose satin napkins, and cut-crystal glassware. Silver-painted anthuriums add a sculptural touch to the centerpiece. The second look shifts to pink linens, brown transferware, silver twig-shaped chargers, and sculptural bronze candlesticks topped with silver tapers. Together, the designs balance romantic color with unexpected textures and artistic details.

Arched, bracket-edged menu cards in taupe and cream are tucked into the napkins, adding an understated finishing touch to each place setting. The invitation suites introduce another layer of personality through pink stripes, an illustrated wrought-iron gate finished with a wax seal, and botanical prints in olive and blush.

A blush bar, accented with green-and-white toile signage, sets a playful yet polished tone. Dove-gray satin details and a champagne bucket complete the styling, while signature cocktails labeled “His” and “Hers” bring a personal touch to the celebration.

The bride’s strapless gown, adorned with lilac-and-pink floral embroidery, feels like a natural extension of the surrounding blooms. A cathedral-length veil adds drama, while the groom’s shawl-lapel tuxedo is elevated with a cameo brooch suspended from a pearl chain—a distinctive accessory that lends a touch of vintage charm.
Beyond the ballroom, portraits capture the architectural character of The Joule. An arched entrance beneath a navy awning sets the scene for an elegant arrival, while black-and-white street portraits bring a cinematic quality to the gallery. The hotel’s striking arched window, with the iconic Eye sculpture in the background, provides a distinctly Dallas backdrop for the couple’s final portraits.
