The Banks, part of The Belize Collection, is nestled in the lush rainforest of Belize. Its picturesque views and thick forest make it the perfect venue to host an intimate tropical destination wedding. We created a wedding ceremony setting that intertwines Belize’s natural, lush jungle beauty with elegant architectural accents to enhance its splendor. Utilizing dark sage green fabric to blend into the already thick tropical canvas, accented with orange orchids, heliconias, bird of paradise, anthuriums, and tropical greenery adorning the ceremony pedestal. The seating area for guests was arranged with barn cross-back wooden chairs, outlined with tropical floral arrangements. This sophisticated yet deeply natural style ensures that your wedding is not just an event, but an intimate and breathtaking experience in the heart of nature.
The Stables
In the plains of the mountains at The Banks lies the stables, a rustic shelter for the horses with an amazing view, surrounded by lush green mountains. This venue was perfect for creating a wedding ceremony, capturing the ideal blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The sleek mirror arch and stage reflect the surrounding nature, drawing the landscape closer. Vibrant red anthuriums, red roses, and red carnations sprouting from green moss were strategically placed to mix the elements and textures found throughout the venue. The aisle is lined with transparent chairs accented by deep red cushions, adding a bold, romantic contrast to the soft earth tones of the gravel and the wooden beams of the stable. Lighted candles in glass vases and carefully placed river stones complement the décor, tying the elegance of the setup back to the raw beauty of the stable setting.
The Yoga Deck
Continuing with the same theme, a banquet-style table setting for 20 guests sits beside the clear, running fresh water, the perfect venue for a very intimate and unique wedding. The sound of flowing water creates a calm and peaceful environment within the lush jungle. Tying in the wood of the stables, barn-style wooden tables were used to carry the ceremony’s spirit into the reception. A scenic view of the river amid the tropical jungle complements the choice of red flowers, red satin napkins, and lighted candles, keeping the atmosphere romantic and memorable. The interplay between mirrors and red flowers creates a profound visual dialogue, where the vibrant intensity of the blooms meets the quiet precision of their reflection.

The photographers are provided the same venues, decorated by top local wedding planners, and are graded based on their unique vision and imagery of the venue and its design details.
The Styled Challenge is a local wedding design and photography competition showcasing talented wedding professionals’ work. Each design team is tasked with creating an exceptional wedding ceremony, reception setting, and ‘wild card’ space within popular venues nationwide. The editors at Southern Bride vote on the winners for each of the design awards. These designs are featured in Southern Bride Magazine, SouthernBride.com, and Southern Bride’s social media outlets.
