The Cliff
The designer’s philosophy is rooted in harmony, designing ceremonies where every element enhances the natural environment without overpowering it. At the cliff setting, this intention is felt in every detail. Clean lines and elevated styling set the tone, with white chairs framing the aisle in understated elegance. Circular detailing adds texture and dimension, while locally sourced tropical flowers anchor the space with organic warmth. Nothing was left to chance, each choice was deliberate, allowing the sweeping greenery and the iconic silhouette of the Sleeping Giant to take center stage as nature’s own backdrop.
Humo Restaurant
This space was designed to be an elevated tropical tablescape, intentional in every layer, yet effortless in feeling.
The eight-foot wooden tables serve as the foundation of the entire aesthetic, grounding the look with natural weight and warmth. For the florals, she worked closely with her florist to build arrangements with vibrant pops of color, while keeping the majority of the base in lush greenery, a deliberate choice to channel the surrounding jungle energy without tipping into excess.
The place settings reflect the same philosophy: clean, tailored, and quietly considered. Soft neutrals and subtle textures carry the eye through the table, with menu details refined just enough to feel personal and curated rather than ornate.
Nestled within an open-air pavilion with exposed wooden beams and an unobstructed view of the Sleeping Giant, the venue itself became part of the design. The intention was never simply to create a beautiful dinner setting, it was to make every guest feel like they were not observers of the environment, but participants in it.
And then there was the light. She knew the warm golden glow would fall across the tablescape in the moments just before sunset. It is the kind of detail that cannot be manufactured, but it can absolutely be planned for.

The Styled Challenge is a local wedding design and photography competition showcasing talented wedding professionals’ work. Each design team is tasked with creating an exceptional wedding ceremony, reception setting, and ‘wild card’ space within popular venues nationwide. The editors at Southern Bride vote on the winners for each of the design awards. These designs are featured in Southern Bride Magazine, SouthernBride.com, and Southern Bride’s social media outlets.
