This shoot was built around the soul of Belize — its spirit, its warmth, its authenticity. The tropical blooms were chosen with intention, their colors and textures a direct nod to the vibrant, welcoming energy of the Belizean people who make this destination what it is. The culture here is bold, bright, and full of heart, and the florals were meant to carry that same feeling. The goal was a look that felt both romantic and elevated without losing sight of the raw, beautiful authenticity of the Caribbean.
And the backdrop doesn’t hurt either. Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection sits alongside one of the most breathtaking natural settings on the planet, the second-largest barrier reef in the world, visible right from the property. Couples can exchange vows on the rooftop with sweeping 360-degree island views, celebrate as the sun melts into the horizon, or say I do barefoot on the beach with the sand between their toes.
At the heart of it all was a simple but powerful intention, to show couples that a dream destination wedding can be deeply personal, and that Belize is the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve said your vows.

The Styled Challenge is a local wedding design and photography competition showcasing talented wedding professionals’ work. Each design team is tasked with creating an exceptional wedding ceremony, reception setting, and ‘wild card’ space within popular venues nationwide. The editors at Southern Bride vote on the winners for each of the design awards. These designs are featured in Southern Bride Magazine, SouthernBride.com, and Southern Bride’s social media outlets.
