An intimate wedding in the woods was exactly what Louie and Becca envisioned. After getting engaged in Yosemite National Park, they thought it only fitting to say “I Do” in their favorite setting — the outdoors.
Just a few hours outside Atlanta, the couple gathered with friends and family to celebrate at Oakleaf Cottage. Each detail had a purpose, from the ceramic plates handmade by the bride to the rug (that had belonged to Louie’s father) where they stood side-by-side. With the help of her friends, Becca filled the space with lush greenery, warm-colored blooms and hand-poured candles. The couple also wanted to minimize the environmental impact of their wedding so they repurposed materials whenever possible and used compostable dinnerware instead of plastic.
And of course, even on that minute-by-minute day, they found a few moments to walk together in the woods. As day turned to night and friends prepared to depart, Louie and Becca ran through a shower of biodegradable confetti before setting off for a two-week honeymoon in Italy and Ireland.”
