FROM THE BRIDE:
The day began at The Chattanoogan, a downtown Chattanooga hotel where the bridal party and families spent the weekend. Hair and makeup arrived to the girls’ suite while the groomsmen put their groomsmen gifts (Team USA basketball jerseys) to good use playing basketball all morning. The traditional ceremony took place at the gorgeous chapel located on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s campus – a special location as my parents were married there 29 years before. The party moved to the rooftop of the local art museum and finished with a band, photobooth, and Krystal burgers!
From one bride to another, my advice would be to include your fiance in as much as possible. He may care more than you think! Including him can make things much less stressful on you, and it’s a great way to spend time with him. Austin and I had so much fun on our weekday trips from Nashville to Chattanooga for our wedding planning meetings. It meant so much to me that he made the effort to come with me every time, and it was important to him to be in the loop about our decisions.
