Lauren Milton and Nicolas Nicholson married on June 24, 2023, at the bride’s parent’s home in Beaufort, North Carolina. After a year-long engagement, close friends and family gathered to witness the couple say “I do” beneath beautiful Southern live-oak trees and a pink rose-covered arbor. The aisle was lined with lush greenery and pastel florals. With her mother’s and bridesmaids’ help, the bride donned an ethereal, off-the-shoulder gown by Monique Lhuillier from Alexia’s.
Guests arrived by trolly and were welcomed with homemade strawberry lemonade, the perfect refreshment to sip on a warm summer evening. A string quartet played as guests found their seats. They continued to play harmonious melodies during the ceremony and cocktail hour.
Afterward, an intimate tented reception was held along the waterfront, where attendees enjoyed delectable food, festive speeches, and danced the night away. Fireworks capped off the evening, followed by Lauren and Nicolas exiting in a golf cart in the sprinkling rain. The newlyweds honeymooned in Italy and spent ten days sightseeing throughout Lake Como, Rome, and Sorrento.
